Cover Concepts Marketing Cover Concepts was one of the largest in-school marketing companies in the country. Founded in 1989 it started distributing free sponsored text book covers to a small network of 55 schools in Massachusetts. It's network rapidly expanded over the next eight years to encompass over 32,000 schools reaching 28 million students nationwide. Its services also expanded to include product sampling, educational material and a magazine distributed in thousands of daycare centers. Cover Concepts was eventually sold to Primedia. Dell Computer Content Intergration Program Dell Computer and Diametric formed a first of its kind partnership where Diametric Marketing would represent Dell and place advertising into its various forms of consumer and business media. The advertising would subsidize Dell Catalog, Television and Online efforts. For advertisers Dell offered a unique opportunity to reach tens of millions of Dell customers every month. Diametric was able to seamlessly insert non competitive ads in Dell's catalogs. Content integration deals were signed that allowed national marketers to imbed their brand or message in a Dell TV commercial. Also, partnerships were formed with companies that promoted value added offers for dell.com web site customers. Diametric Marketing developed and monetized the program for Dell and eventually trained Dell on how to manage the program in-house.
